Context

At HUGE, I created product vision films that helped clients experience proposed digital products before they were built.

Working from static visual directions created by the broader team, I defined interaction, transitions, pacing, animation, and sound.

Challenge

Static comps could show a visual direction but not how the product responded or felt in use. Each film had to balance interaction clarity, brand expression, and cinematic storytelling.

Envisioning HBO for the Living Room

To present a proposed direction for HBO's television experience, HUGE created a film showing how audiences could discover and navigate content from the living room.

Working from static visual comps, I designed all UX motion and developed behaviors for navigation, focus states, information reveals, card transitions, and movement between browsing and playback.

The film combined interaction, motion, audio, and video transitions into one cohesive product narrative.

Envisioning a Premium Digital Shopping Experience

For a proposed redesign of Lexus.com, I created all motion design for a film demonstrating navigation, vehicle browsing, comparison, and customization.

Sticky navigation, scroll-away headers, responsive reveals, and transitions connected exploration with personalization. Using Lexus's existing imagery and video, I combined animation and music to express the brand's premium character.

Bringing the Vans Brand to Life Through Motion

This film was created for HUGE's winning pitch to redesign Vans.com.

I designed all motion, using transitions, animation, and pacing to reflect the energy and personality of the Vans brand.

The film was set to “Sophisticated Honky” by Orgone, with the track shaping its timing and overall momentum.

Key Takeaway

Across HBO, Lexus, and Vans, these films turned static visual directions into product experiences clients could understand and evaluate before implementation.

Designing the behavior between screens clarified interaction models, expressed each brand, and established an early foundation for my approach to motion as both a product-design and storytelling tool. The Vans.com film also contributed to a winning pitch.
